Quick answers.

How does ClearMyCar work?

Complete a short application online and pay the fixed fee of £150. That opens your online portal, with a checklist for uploading the few documents we need.

Once they’re uploaded we process your customs entry and email you the amount to pay HMRC, if anything is due, with a link to pay them directly. As soon as it’s paid we have NOVA issued and emailed to you.

How much does it cost?

Our fee is a fixed £150, and that includes NOVA. Any import duty and VAT is paid straight to HMRC through a secure link, and we tell you exactly how much before you pay.

Which documents will I need?

Usually the bill of sale or invoice, the foreign registration document and your driving licence. Your online checklist shows exactly what your import needs, so there’s no guesswork.
